Situational judgement practice
The situational judgement part of the Scenario-Based Test puts you on a wing and asks what you would do. For each scenario you choose the most effective and the least effective of four responses. Our explanations tie every answer to the four behaviours HMPPS assesses: Caring, Communicating and Influencing, Making Effective Decisions, and Managing a Quality Service.
Reported format: about 16 scenarios in up to 20 minutes, choosing the most and least effective response to each. HMPPS describes the test only as behavioural and numerical scenarios taking 25 to 40 minutes. Formats and timings can change between campaigns, so always check your own invitation.
